Kate is happy to share her acceptance into Stella Adler Studios! Kate has been taking an on-camera technique class with Todd Thaler and is thrilled with the results. Each week, the class prepares a scene and then upon completion are assigned an additional scene to cold read. All sessions are taped and while watching her work, she is finding her choices are furthering in their specificity.

In other big news, Kate is working on a fantastic, new work - The Last Poet On Mars.

"The off-broadway production The Last Poet On Mars, is a new play by Jack Fellows based on Homer’s Illiad. 2555 AD. An overpopulated Earth and newly colonized Mars set the stage for us to witness again the futility and inevitability of war. Though technologies have grown, the human experience remains the same. The same lust for power, love and violence plagues our characters in space as did the Greeks in the Aegean Sea. Tempted by the illusion of immortality they dive headfirst into their fate.” (description by, Jack Fellows)

In the production, Kate plays Hana, the young, newlywed wife of Mentius, who is a commander of Earth’s International Forces War Council. The role has been quite the challenge thus far, and lots of fun! The production will be held at The Wild Project in New York, New York, in late July!

Kate is beginning her study at Upright Citizens Brigade, this month! She just completed Improv 101: Improv Basics, last week and concluded the class with her very first UCB Improv Performance on Saturday! It was a wonderful experience overall and a great opportunity to meet new talented friends. Kat is now starting UCB's next level of classes on Thursday: Improv 201: The Game of the Scene.
